Party Ideas

Turn Your Next Party into a Change the World Fundraiser!

Just about everyone wants to make a difference with their lives -- they just don't always know how.

Fundraisers are a great way to raise awareness of important issues around the world, and the people you invite can make a big difference without even trying very hard - and while having a great time!

Fundraisers don't have to be big or complicated to be effective. You would be amazed at the difference you can make by just holding your next party with a purpose!

The possibilities are limited only by your imagination and creativity, but here are a few ideas:

- Hold a "Birthday Party" for orphaned children and ask people to write cards and make donations to help with their support. Everyone will feel good about themselves and an abandoned child will know that someone thousands of miles away cares about them! $75 can help provide a child with school supplies, uniform and tuition for one year.

- Hold a "Garden Party" and ask guests to help plant a village garden in Africa. $200 can help plant a community garden that will provide fresh vegetables for up to 3 families.

- Hold a "Water Party" and ask guests to help fund a community water project in Africa. A water tank or well will provide thousands of people with access to safe water for the life of the well -- usually 20 to 25 years -- at a cost of only pennies a day.

- Hold a "Book Party" and ask guests to help fund a Library for a community in Africa. A Library will provide hundreds of kids & schools access to much needed educational resources. Simply having the access to reading material can make the difference between learning to read or not.

- Hold a "Latrine Party" and ask guests to help fund an African school to build Latrines for the students. $200 Can help build a set of boys & girls Latrines at a very needy school.

- Hold a "Bug Party" and ask guests to help buy Mosquito Nets to protect a child from Malaria. $8 can provide a life saving net for an entire family.

- Hold a "School Party" and ask guests to help raise funds for a needy African school to buy desks & supplies, improve facilities, buy school texts, pay Teachers salaries & provide a feeding program. You can support building/stocking a chicken coop that can provide much needed nutrition and a potential income for a school as well as educational experience for children to raise their own livestock.

- Hold a "Block Party" and ask guests to help fund a Community Center in Africa. A Community Center will provide the entire community with a shelter for Health & Educational clinics, community & youth group meeting area, Drama Troupe stage, sewing/crafting area, cooking classes...the list goes on. Your community could help make a lasting difference in a community half way around the world.

- Hold a "House Party" and ask guests to build a house for a child headed household or a grandparent raising orphaned children in Africa. $300 can help provide a safe and secure home for an orphan - giving them one less thing to worry about.

- Hold a "House Warming Party" and ask guests help provide the necessities for an orphan's home in Africa. $25 can buy a Mattress & Sheets, $8 a Mosquito Net, $15 3 Chickens, $50 a Goat, $10 a Lantern & Kerosene, $35 a Bag of Rice, $30 household goods/supplies, $30 clothing & shoes for a Total of $200 will help provide the necessities to make a hut a home for an orphan.

As you can see there are a lot of different & easy ways that you can incorporate charity into your daily life. By just asking guests to not bring a "Host Gift" to your event & by specifying a theme of the gifts & or donations ahead of time it is an easy way to open your heart & mind to the needy children & communities of the world.

Thank-you in advance for your support!

Dear Event Coordinator,

THANK YOU for choosing Ainembabazi Children's Project as the beneficiary for your upcoming event. We are honored that you selected us out of so many other worthy organizations and want to support you in whatever way we can.

Because of our legal and tax liabilities as a non-profit organization, we make these few but important requests:

- Please allow us to review and approve in advance any use of the Ainembabazi Children's Project name, trademark and/or logo in your promotional materials.

- Please provide an explanation of how the charitable benefit will be calculated for tax purposes. For example, if you're selling tickets for a meal, how much of the ticket price will go to recover the event's costs versus how much will go to the Ainembabazi Children's Project.

If it is feasible, we would also love to have the opportunity to have a representative at your event to provide information on our work. Also, we can provide items for a display booth including brochures, information sheets & a donations box based on space available & type of event.

As convenient, please keep us informed of your timing and program.

Meanwhile, on behalf of the children & communities we serve, we wish you great success - and fun!

With appreciation for your commitment,

Marnie Kinred
